The Mighty

KAFM is the only local community radio station in the Grand Valley.  Broadcasting at 88.1 FM, KAFM wields a 'mighty' 16 watts to service a community of over 150,000 people.  KAFM also streams online at kafmradio.org.

KAFM seeks to provide our community with alternative music programming not otherwise available -- jazz, new age, adult alternative, blues, folk, world, bluegrass, big band and swing make KAFM's programming the most eclectic and interesting in the valley and beyond!

KAFM has over 250 volunteers, including over 100 volunteer DJs who help keep our sound fresh, interesting and consistent.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer DJ, contact our Program Director.  Off-air volunteers help during fund drives, outreach events and a multitude of behind-the-scenes volunteer jobs.
